"...For anyone who ever imagined that it would be a trip to watch Second City stoned, or who perhaps made a habit of doing just that during the 1960s or 1970s, the cast of the new show on the e.t.c. Stage has a sweet, retro gift."

"...One after another, the cast rolls out scenes that are amusing but fairly routine fare for the Old Town satirical stalwart. A man reconsiders a one-night stand as he learns his date's toxic politics. A newly deceased soul finds Mrs. Satan runs Hell, while batting away her pesky husband's entreaties for attention. A bit of trivia from the audience is cycled through today's media landscape, handled with fear and alarm by Fox News, MSNBC and TikTok."

"...The show (directed by Jeff Griggs) is smiling-funny rather than gut-busting-funny but also truthful to a rare degree, and the company (also featuring Jordan Savusa and the protean Claudia Martinez) is a pleasure to spend an evening with."

"...Get ready to experience a hilarious and illuminatingly colorful world with The Second City e.t.c's 47th Revue called Oh, The Places You'll Glow! This show features a fantastic cast of writers and performers that includes Meghan Babbe, Leila Gorstein, Claudia Martinez, Tim Metzler, Jordan Savusa, and Brittani Yawn, who will take you on a journey filled with sketch and improv comedy based on recent events. The show starts with dazzling lights, and the performers use different catchphrases and techniques to entertain the audience."

"...The show that is on the stage now at their e.t.c. stage ( this is the 230 West North Avenue entrance), on the 2nd floor is called "Oh,the Places You'll GLOW!" and to be honest, with the exception of them using light bars and other light items, the title doesn't mean much. I did think that the second act had a lot more glow and spunk to it and if the first hour was as strong as the second, the rating for this production would have been ****."

"...There is far more to this delightful show, and nothing at all “etcetera” about most of the other scenes, except for a handful of blackouts that don’t quite land. Directed by Jeff Griggs with musical direction (always a crucial role in any Second City production) by John Love, this is one show to which lovers of the human comedy will absolutely want to go."

"...Director Jeff Griggs stages the show with a near-flawless sense of pace that keeps things moving fluidly. When the show ended, I wanted another few hours in the company of this talented ensemble and the world they created. The amount of joy they bring to their work and that they cultivate between themselves and the audience is remarkable. It’s also something that’s in all too short supply on stages today. At its best, live performance is an act of exultation that creates a special relationship between performer and spectator. Anyone looking to be reminded of that feeling should run, not walk, to see Oh, the Places You’ll Glow."

"...Improv artists who train at Second City are the best in the world at what they do. Improv and sketch comedy are very unique art forms and wonderfully entertaining when done right, as is the case with “Oh, The Places You Will Glow”. You’re never really sure where the twists and turns of the night might take you, because thanks to audience participation, every show is a unique experience. That’s also why you can see a show like “Oh, The Places You Will Glow” repeatedly and have a new and exciting experience each time."

"...Oh, the Places You’ll Glow!, Second City e.t.c.’s 47th revue, lands plenty of great lines and delivers on several strong setups. But what takes this show to the next level–bang! zoom! straight to the moon!–is the broad, old-fashioned physical humor that courses through so many of the scenes."

"...Second City's e.t.c. shows often feature a fair amount of improvised material. On opening night, the cast of "Places" inventively used information prompted from audience members. There was, for instance, the repeatedly funny running gag spun out from the woman in the front row's admission that she hailed from Waterville, Maine and knits for a hobby. And yet, the cast did not brave the usual kind of open-ended audience suggestions that are improv staples."
